Royalty postcard

I could not resist, the blog is ment for lighthouse postcards, but this beautiful card is great. I received this beautiful card for my daughter, she is 5 and she loves princesses and this card has members of the Danish Royal House. Margrethe II (born 16 April 1940) is the Queen regnant of the Kingdom of Denmark. She is the eldest daughter of King Frederick IX and Queen Ingrid of Denmark. In 1967, she married Henri de Laborde de Monpezat, with whom she has two sons: Crown Prince Frederik (born 1968) and Prince Joachim (born 1969). When her father Frederick IX died in 1972, Margrethe succeeded him as Queen of Denmark and became the first female monarch of Denmark since Margaret I, ruler of the Scandinavian countries in 1375-1412 during the Kalmar Union.

 The stamp on card is perfect, it is issued in 2012 and it is dedicated to the 40th Jubilee of the Queen Margrethe II. She officially marked 40 years as head of Europe’s oldest monarch.

Whole set of russian lighthouses

I received this beautiful lighthouse cover from Russia. What makes it great is, that there is whole set of stamps. These stamps are from 2005 and 2006. There is a map showing the location of lighthouses on stamp. Great set!

Europa Cept travelling envelope

This beautiful cover with Estonian 1999, 1998 and 2008 Europa cept stamps travelled to Russia and to Croatia. Now it has russian stamps from 2005, 2010 and 2011 and Croatian 2011 stamps. My favourite stamp is russian year of the forest stamp, amazingly beautiful colours.

International Year of Forest cover

Radim sent me these beautiful stamps on cover. Stamps are designed by Sergio Baradat. He desinged 3 minisheet. The stamps were issued by the United Nations Postal Administration on 13th of October 2011. Stamps illustrate the important role of trees and forests play in people’s lives.

Travelling envelope arrived home

My travelling Christmas themed envelope arrived his travelling to Brazil on 12th of Dec, his journey continued on 11th of January to Ukraine and it arrived home on 21 of February.

This cover was sent on first day of issue. It has 2 special postmarks. Stamps are starting from left, from 2006, 2001 and 2011. My favourite stamp is blueone in the middle. It is like from the fairytale.

This nice cover was sent from France on 15th of Dec, last year. It took only 2 days to arrive.
